Hoof picks are an important part of every tack kit. Hooves should be cleaned every time before riding and after. You should get a hoof pick with a brush on one side so you can sweep the dirt/dust out, they cost the same. If you do not get a hoof pick with a brush attached you will need to buy a seperate brush, use a tooth brush , blow with your mouth, etc. Please watch the video on how to use a hoof pick before atempting to use one. If you use a hoof pick in-correctly you could damage the frog, cause a farrier visit/vet visit, and temperaroly make your hore in-ridable.
